Talking Therapies

How can talking therapies help me?

Talking therapy provides a safe, supportive and confidential space where you can explore the thoughts, feelings and experiences that may be affecting your wellbeing.

Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, particularly when anxiety, stress, difficult emotions or past experiences begin to impact your confidence, relationships or day-to-day life. Therapy can help you gain greater understanding, develop healthier coping strategies and create positive, lasting change.

An integrated approach to therapy

I draw on a range of therapeutic techniques including Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Rewind Therapy and Mindfulness. This allows me to tailor sessions to your individual needs rather than relying on a single therapeutic model.

I believe therapy should feel collaborative, compassionate and practical. My role is not to judge or tell you what to do, but to work alongside you in helping you better understand your experiences and move towards the changes you would like to make.

People seek talking therapy for many different reasons. Some may be struggling with anxiety, stress, panic attacks or low self esteem, whilst others may be dealing with grief, trauma, emotional overwhelm or feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns of thinking or behaviour.

Sometimes people come to therapy with a clear goal, whilst others simply know that something does not feel right and want support in understanding why.

During sessions, we may explore how past experiences, beliefs or thought patterns are affecting you in the present, whilst also focusing on practical ways to help you feel calmer, more confident and more in control moving forward. Therapy can help you develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience and healthier ways of responding to difficult situations.

Because every person’s experience is different, therapy is always tailored to your individual circumstances, goals and pace. Some people benefit from short term therapy focused on a specific issue, whilst others may prefer longer term support to explore deeper patterns and experiences.

I often combine talking therapy with hypnotherapy where appropriate, as many people find this integrated approach particularly effective in helping them create meaningful and lasting change.
